How does the saying go? “You never have a second chance to make a first impression.” Logos are about the first impression and about leaving a lasting impression. A good logo will look good big or small and it doesn’t rely on color to create the effect. As every designer knows, it’s the idea behind the logo that makes it interesting and inspiring. It is the simple logo that creates a hook to remember the company name by, while enjoying the look of the design.
We all suffer from creative blocks from time to time, so here are 10 great musically inspired logos that are great and memorable. Maybe it’ll wake up your inspiration as well.

Hot Note
A simple design of a note on fire will not let you forget what it is all about. This logo has been a stock logo since 2008.
Many artists turn to music for inspiration. The ability of music to convey mood and inspire emotions is what makes pieces of music transcend generations and tastes. We still listen to great classical composers, to ethnic music, to pop, rock and country and with every generation music evolves and changes but is not forgotten. That is also the mark of a great logo like the one for the Beatles that kept the long letter T through many changes or the Rolling Stones tongue. A great logo can transcend centuries.
