As 2020 approaches, you may be interested in some new vacation destinations. Lucky for you, the world we live in is big enough to supply something new every year. Of course, some destinations are more appealing than others, which is why we compiled a list of new places to check out in the upcoming year. Stick around to see what other people are targeting for next year.
Aruba
If you have ever been to the Caribbean before, then you know what to expect. Aruba, however, seems to be on in the top 5 destinations for the year 2020. Why? Because of the white sandy beaches and artificial reefs created by old shipwrecks. You can go both snorkeling and diving to see some of the most amazing underwater views. Another interesting fact about Aruba is that it has excellent green initiatives. It wants to ban single-use plastic, as well as reef-destroying sunscreens by next year. We must say that they deserve all the support, which is why you should choose Aruba for your next vacation.
Bhutan
This is not a country that shows up on many bucket lists, and it is a pity. The reason why we chose Bhutan is that they need the same support as Aruba. Apparently, they are on their way of becoming the first fully organic state. Not only that the country has a very low carbon print, but farmers are learning organic practices and how to best profit from that. You may not know this, but Bhutan made a promise in 2011 that it will go 100% organic. They are on the right path so far. As a destination, you will be amazed. The landscapes are breathtaking, and the Buddhist monasteries are gorgeous. You should definitely give it a try.
Denmark
This small but charming country in Europe is very open to tourists. Most people go to Copenhagen, the country’s capital. The Tivoli Gardens are simply beautiful, and you will find a lot of entertainment there. The amusement park is worth a visit. Also, the Blue Planet Aquarium is one of the main attractions. You will experience the marine life like you have never before. Other attractions include the Church of Our Savior, where you can climb 400 steps to reach the top of the tower. You get to see the entire city from up there. You may also be interested in the Little Mermaid Statue, a guided tour through the city’s canals, as well as the iconic Nyhavn area here you can see a lot of colorful buildings.
Costa Rica
Apparently, the trend is now to encourage countries that want to go green, and Cost Rica is one of them. Approximately 90% of the country’s energy comes from renewable sources. That is huge by anyone’s standards. It does not even matter that Costa Rica is not that big of a country. Of course, you will absolutely love the coffee, and just in case you surf, know that Costa Rica is known for its legendary surfing experiences. You should also be aware of the fact that Cost Rica is home to a half-million species, which makes this location one of the world’s most biodiverse places. And do not forget that they have a Sloth Sanctuary, which is a must-see if you ever get there.
Liberia
If you generally watch the news, you probably already know that Liberia was greatly affected by the Ebola virus. But that ended, and the country is starting to recover. We should encourage them to do that, and since the travel restrictions were lifted, people are beginning to go there. You will love the tropical rainforests. They are filled with gorgeous birds, pygmy hippos, chimpanzees, forest elephants, and more. Or, if you feel like sitting with your behind in the sand, Liberia’s white sandy beaches will provide precisely that.
The destinations above are just a sample of what our beautiful planet has to offer. But we will take it each year at a time. Keep in mind that you may need a visa for some of the countries above. Other than that, do not forget to enjoy yourself.
