Printing Areas
Apart from Apparel, Screen Printing is applied to caps, panels, mouse pads, jackets and many other. Screen Printing can print on paper, fabric, wood, plastics, metal, rubber and most any other smooth surface. It can be done automatically, and manually as well.
Printing Technique
To begin printing we need Screen, Ink, Manual or Automatic Screen Printing Machine and Squeegee. A Screen is made of woven fabric called mesh stretched over a frame of aluminium or wood. Mesh is a woven materials such as steel, nylon, and polyester. Areas of the screen are blocked off with a photo emulsion. After drying, the Screen is covered by the prepared film then exposed to UV light. The parts of the screen which were covered by the negative film will not exposed to the UV light so these parts can be washed out with water where the Ink will pass through. The exposed areas closes the meshes of the screen.
Printing is done with a Squeegee, which is used to squeeze the ink through the open spaces of the screen onto T-Shirts.
