Facebook has just begun its biggest move against Snapchat. They had introduced its new feature named Facebook Stories for its users to compete against its rival Snapchat. It is one of the largest expansions in their application for their users. This latest feature allows the user to post a small clip of videos or images that will disappear automatically after 24 hours.

This new feature is like other feature such as Instagram has Instagram stories, WhatsApp have something called Whatsapp status, and Messenger version has Messenger Day. Now, FB is updating its app with the new feature which gets more than 1.7 billion mobile visitors a month. Earlier they had tested this feature in Ireland and Chile. But now, they are releasing this app globally.

Like Instagram stories, FB is also looking forward to its new feature. It has three functionalities in its new feature: Camera, Stories and direct. It has added same camera feature as in the Instagram. You just need to swipe left or click on the icon located in the top-left corner of the screen. You can also use filters, interface, lenses and stickers. The lens rotation is based on location and date.

The camera feature goes hand in hand with Stories, the video and photo post will last for 24 hours. This will appear, like on Instagram, as the circular bar icons located at the top of your feed. According to FB, that bar is ranked by the user’s interest, so if you see a few friend’s stories over and over again, then you’ll always see their stories in front of the line. By default, only your friends can view your Facebook Stories and pages.

In addition to posting your Story, you can also share your images and video clips with specific friends with the help of direct feature which has been added to the FB. It’s an amazing option that’s designed for sharing photos and videos with particular friends for a limited time.

Whenever you send a photo or video through Direct, your friends will see it once and replays it or write a reply. Once the conversation on the photo or video is ended, the conversation will no longer visible in Direct. Now, users can take benefit of this amazing app by updating their Facebook application from their App store.
