Exfoliate Twice a Week
The presence of excess dead skin cells can cause roughness and dryness. It can also cause darkening of the skin. This is why areas that are within and close to the bikini area should undergo exfoliation regularly.
Skincare experts suggest exfoliating twice a week to prevent the unnecessary buildup of dead skin cells. Doing it more often could cause skin irritation. Hideous cosmetic problems such as darkening, scarring, and chicken skin development could stem from it. You can choose between a commercially-available and a homemade exfoliating scrub. No matter which one you prefer, remember to exfoliate gently.
Cut Down on Salt
A high-salt diet and a high cut bikini do not mix. Salt causes water to pool in your body, thus causing you to look and feel bloated. In women most especially, bloatedness can cause more than just abdominal cramping and discomfort. It can wreak havoc on their self-confidence, too. Get a Fake Tan
One of the reasons for visiting the beach is to get a tan. However, showing up at the beach already tanned allows you to look better in your bikini.
It’s a good idea to first visit a tanning salon to get a fake tan before you pack your bags and go to the beach. As a general rule of thumb, you should undergo a spray tan two days before putting on a bikini. This gives the ingredients enough time to make your skin appear dazzling. Feel free to opt for an at-home tanning solution. Just make sure that you have plenty of experience with it for the most natural-looking tan.
