The web design evolved in the last two decades as other domains in hundreds of years; in fact the entire society is progressing faster and faster. Willing or not, the web designers must keep the same rhythm even if it means many personal sacrifices and tons of unsleeping nights.
Good sources of information for web designers are the blogs treating this subject; these are posting instantly the latest news and techniques. Therefore visiting these is very necessary to keep updated with what is happening in the web design community…but what is happening here? Well…a new revolution! Last year the web designers received great news: the release of the latest versionsof HTML and CSS. Now we have HTML5 and CSS3 that are the pillars of the revolution. Even from the beginning the web designers were amazed by the new tags and promised to create more interactive and interesting layouts. The results weren’t so much waited and already we have tons of fabulous websites, it’s enough to check some HTML 5 websites galleries to make an idea.
On the other hand, there is another revolution…by the way, please let me know if you read this post from a tablet or smartphone. As you probably guessed, it’s about the mobile revolution. The web designers have had lots of problems about cross-browsers compatibility but these were almost insignificant comparing with the matter of size displays. We have a large variety of displays and this fact determines the web designers to adopt a new strategy of creating websites- it is called responsive design. Generally speaking, the common agreement was to create from now websites that are rendered very well no matter the size of the displays.
If you think that it was enough to make the life a real hell, you are wrong! Apple and Google are “fighting” for the supremacy of the mobile operating systems, obviously the users are the winners but sometimes this harsh competition baffles the designers. Now , you have the big picture of what represents the modern approach of creating websites, it is merely changing and is very easy to become outdated. I am one that almost was overcome by the situation and I recommend to everyone to pay close attention to this aspect. The next web design blogs helped me a lot in bringing me back into the web design universe, therefore bookmark them and visit them, it’s impossible not to find something interesting.
